Printables
School documents that look like your school.
Report cards and student ID cards are designed once and printed for a whole class at a time, with your school’s letterhead, typeface and signatures.
Printing report cards
A class’s report cards in one document.
Choose the session, class, section and exam, tick the students, and SMS renders their report cards into one document to print or save as a PDF. Paper size and orientation are chosen when you print, so the same card can go on A4 today and Letter tomorrow.
Earlier years too. Switch the session and reprint a report card from a previous year.
Report card design
The information you want to share.
Start from one of three layouts: subject marks; skills assessment above the subject marks; or skills only, for nursery classes. Then switch on what the card shows: attendance percentage, grading scale, position, cumulative average, exam average, class average, subject position, remark and result.
Explained as you choose. Each option has a note saying what it adds to the card.
Room for your letterhead. Set the margins on each side. A new template leaves extra space at the top for paper with a pre-printed letterhead.
Signatures and stamps. Place up to three signatures or stamps along the bottom, each sized to fit.
Printing ID cards
A whole year group’s cards at once.
Filter to a class, and a section if you want one, and every student starts ticked, because a card run is usually the whole class. Untick anyone who does not need one and print.
Dated by session. There is no print date to get wrong. The card shows the session it is valid for, so an old card reads as one.
ID card design
Front and back, arranged your way.
Pick one of four arrangements: portrait with the photo above or beside the details, landscape with the photo on the left, or landscape with a school banner. Then choose what the card carries: the school’s crest and name, the photo and name, class and admission number, blood group, address and date of birth, an emergency contact, the validity period, a signature and a QR code a phone can read.
Drag sections into place. Reorder sections by dragging or with arrow buttons, put two side by side, and decide which go on the back.
See where everything sits. A to-scale preview updates as you edit, and a real preview with a real student is one click away.
Sheet paper by default. Cards print on A5 landscape for cutting down on an ordinary printer. A school with card stock can change the paper size.
Shared resources
Uploaded once. Used everywhere.
Fonts, backgrounds and signatures belong to the school, not to one document. Upload them once and choose them on any report card or ID card.
A new head teacher, one change. Replace a signature once and every document that uses it follows.
Retire, do not break. Archive an image to take it out of the picker. Documents already using it keep printing as before, and an image still in use cannot be deleted.
One setup page
Every document’s design in one place.
Report cards and ID cards each have a tab on the printables setup page, with the report card first. Each tab keeps its own permission, so someone allowed to design report cards only sees that tab.
No. Templates are reusable, so the same look is ready for the next print run.
Yes. The skills-only layout prints the skills assessment with no subject marks.
