Workspace · Multitasking

More than one task. Still one workspace.

Check a student’s record while collecting fees, or keep pocket money beside a family invoice. Floating windows put the pages you need beside the work you are already doing, inside SMS.

One app. Room for more.

Two tasks open. Your invoice list stays in place.

Try moving a title bar, resizing a corner or minimising a window. Illustration · example records.

Keep the context

Open the record. Keep your place.

Right-click a supported record or page and choose “Open in floating window”. Your main page stays in place while the other task opens above it. You can have up to five floating pages open at a time.

  • Room for the task. Drag the title bar to move a window, resize it, or maximise it within the application. Restore it when you want the smaller view again.

  • Pin what you need to see. A pinned window stays open as you work elsewhere. An unpinned window minimises when you click outside it.

Switch tasks

Put it aside. Pick it up again.

Minimise a window to clear the work area, then choose it from the Windows previews to return. When one task needs your full attention, move that page into the main screen.

  • Your usual access. Floating pages use your signed-in account. They close when you sign out or switch school, branch or role.

Fictional windows: choose a preview to return to a minimised task.

Still have a question?

Up to five, alongside your main page. Opening a page that is already floating brings that window back into view. Close a window when you need room for another.
