Our services and your agreement
Academium is part of Codeindigitech Limited, the company behind CodeinDevelopers. We provide school management software, assessment and practice tools, and school technology services.
These terms apply to the website and the Academium services you use. Product-specific terms, an accepted order or a signed agreement also apply to that purchase or service. A signed agreement takes priority for a matter it specifically addresses. Contact us if you need the terms for a particular school setup or project.
Accounts and authorised use
Use an account only when you are authorised to do so. If you set up or manage a school, you must have authority to act for that school and to provide the records you enter.
Keep your account information accurate and your password, PIN and recovery details private. Give staff their own accounts, review their permissions and remove access when it is no longer appropriate. Parents, guardians and schools are responsible for arranging suitable access for children.
Acceptable use
- Use the services for lawful education, administration and related activities within the access granted to you.
- Provide only information and materials you have authority to use, and respect the privacy and intellectual-property rights of others.
- Do not attempt to access another person’s account or another school’s records, bypass permissions or interfere with the service.
- Do not upload malicious software, misuse communications features or copy and redistribute licensed content without permission.
- Report suspected account misuse or a security problem to the school administrator and Academium support.
Plans, payments and refunds
Your selected plan or agreed quotation sets the included features, limits, billing period and charges. Check the current pricing and the details of your order before paying. Features depend on the product, edition and plan.
Paid Academium SMS and Surepass plans include the published 14-day refund policy. Send a request within 14 days of purchase with the account email and payment reference. School infrastructure, installation or other project services follow the scope and payment arrangements agreed for that project.
Your records and materials
You retain your rights in the records and materials you provide. You authorise the processing needed to deliver the services you choose, such as saving records, hosting, sync, backups and support.
The school is responsible for the accuracy of its records, the permissions it assigns and its record-keeping requirements. Review outputs before relying on them for fees, payroll, reports or examination decisions. Keep suitable backup and export arrangements for the setup you use.
Software and licensed content
Academium and its licensors retain rights in the software, website and content they supply. Access to a product or question library does not transfer ownership or grant a right to redistribute it. Any separate licence for supplied content or an API governs that use.
Third-party services and linked websites have their own terms. Your school is responsible for choosing and authorising the connections it enables.
Operation, support and changes
On-site services need suitable computers, a working local network and the server to be available. Online features need a connection; offline work syncs only when the relevant connection is available. Backups can restore only information included in a saved copy.
Support is available during the hours published on our Contact page. On-site work and infrastructure projects are arranged separately. We may update applications and services; available features and compatibility are described in the relevant product documentation.
Ending use and resolving issues
If you want to end a hosted service or close an account, contact us about the applicable service agreement, exports and retained copies before removing access. Ending a subscription or uninstalling an application does not itself remove every school record or backup.
For a service, payment or account concern, contact us with the relevant product and reference. These terms do not limit rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any additional project-specific cancellation or dispute arrangements should be recorded in the agreement for that work.
Contact and updates to these terms
The date above identifies this version of the terms. Questions about an agreement, a quotation or these terms can be sent to our general enquiries team.
