Timetables

## A week of lessons, built on one screen.

Lay out a class’s week from a pattern, adjust it by hand, then save the whole week at once.

An example pattern fills a whole week. Every period stays editable before the week is saved.

Adjusting the week

## Move a lesson. The times follow.

Drag a period to a new place in its day and the timetable keeps itself in sequence.

- **Lengths are kept.** A double period stays a double period wherever it lands. Start times re-flow from the first lesson of the day.

- **Copy a day across the week.** Get Monday right, then copy it onto every other working day and change what differs.

- **Nothing saved until you say so.** Edits stay on screen until you save the week, and the page shows when it differs from what is stored.

An example Monday: the double Mathematics period moves to the top, keeps its 80 minutes, and the other lessons shift to follow it.

Built from your subjects

## Only the subjects the class takes.

The builder offers the subjects assigned to the class and section, so a timetable cannot drift from what the class studies.

- **Subjects first.** A class with no subjects assigned is pointed to the subjects page before anything is generated.

- **Teachers kept when you rebuild.** Generating again can reuse the teacher already scheduled for each subject that week.

- **Clear reasons when something is missing.** A period needs a start and an end, must finish after it starts, and needs a subject unless it is a break. The page says which rows need attention.

Only the class’s own subjects are offered, and saving explains which periods are incomplete. An example week.

Class timetables

## The sheet each class follows.

View any class’s week by class, section and term, then print it.

- **Only the days you open.** Days in your weekend setting are left out, so a Saturday school shows Saturday and others do not.

- **Ready to print.** Open a print preview of the week, ready to pin up in the classroom.

- **Straight into the builder.** Open the same class in the builder when something changes.

Teacher timetables

## Every teacher’s week, across every class.

A teacher’s timetable shows which class they are in for each period, wherever it is taught.

- **Teaching load at a glance.** Periods are counted for each day, with the number of classes and subjects each teacher takes.

- **Free time is visible.** Gaps between lessons appear as free time instead of making separate periods look back to back.

- **Their own week, straight away.** A teacher who signs in sees their own timetable without choosing anything.

FAQs

## Timetables questions

How class and teacher timetables fit together.

[Still have a question?](https://academium.com.ng/main/page-contact)

### We teach on Saturdays. Can the timetable include it?

Yes. Timetables follow your school’s weekend setting, so any day you open is part of the week.

### Do we have to use the pattern?

No. The pattern is a quick start. Every period can be added, moved and edited by hand, whether the pattern was used or not.

### Can teachers see their own timetable?

Yes. Teachers with access to timetables see their own week when they sign in, including free periods.

### What about exam timetables?

Exam schedules are built separately, paper by paper, with halls and dates. They are part of Exams & results.
