[Still have a question?](https://academium.com.ng/main/page-contact) ### Do we have to use every module? No. Modules can be switched on or off for each branch, and a module that is off disappears from the sidebar. Start with what your school needs and add the rest later. ### Will every member of staff see all of this? No. Roles and permissions decide what each person can open, so a teacher, a bursar and a receptionist each see their own part of SMS. Focus spaces narrow the sidebar further when someone wants to concentrate on one area. ### Does SMS work without the internet? Yes. A Windows or Linux Server Edition runs SMS from your on-site school server, with staff connecting over the school network. The Individual Edition also works offline and sends changes to its school server or Academium Cloud portal when connected. ### Do parents or students sign in to SMS? No. SMS is used by your school’s staff. Families receive what they need, such as invoices, receipts and report cards, from the school. ### Can one school with several branches use it? Yes. Each branch keeps its own students, staff, sessions and money, and the school owner, accountants and school admins can switch between branches. ### Are all features on every plan? Some features and limits depend on your plan, such as virtual accounts, or attendance for 10 classes a day in free mode.
